In the process of layering the skin tones, I was still adjusting the structure of the face, moving stuff around. Most notably, the jaw line, which I only noticed very late in the painting. It's pretty much done now. A few glazes of shadow and some light wet in wet really did the trick to give the image some punch. I took it easy painting this, because I didn't want to alter the interesting expression on her face.
